# Full Page Analysis

> Check a whole web page, top to bottom, in one step: its text, its visuals, or both.

A Full Page Analysis step checks the entire page in one step, not only what is on screen. Use it for checks that span the whole page, such as untranslated or misspelled copy, price formatting, or banners and badges that must match a campaign. Each distinct issue is reported once, with a suggested correction, so a problem that repeats down the page does not repeat in your results.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Full Page Analysis steps are available for **web tests** only.

## Modes

| Mode | Starts with | What Spur checks |
| - | - | - |
| Text | `Full Page Text:` | The words on the page |
| Visual | `Full Page Visual:` | How the page looks, including text inside images |
| Text and Visual | `Full Page Text and Visual:` | Both together |

Use **Text** for wording, **Visual** for imagery, badges and layout, and **Text and Visual** when a check needs both, such as prices that appear in copy and in banners.

## How to Add a Full Page Analysis Step

**1. Open the step menu**

In the step editor, type `/` and select **Full Page Analysis**.

**2. Choose a mode**

Select **Text**, **Visual** or **Text and Visual**. The step shows a **Full page analysis** chip naming the mode. You can also type the prefix yourself, for example `Full Page Text:`.

**3. Describe the check**

After the prefix, describe what the page must satisfy and how to report what does not, in plain language.

## Examples

```text theme={null}
Full Page Text: All copy must be in French; brand, collection and fit names may stay in English. Log a warning (do not fail the test) for each piece of text in another language, quoting it and suggesting the French wording.
```

```text theme={null}
Full Page Visual: Every banner and product badge must show the autumn campaign. Log a warning (do not fail the test) for any image that shows a different campaign.
```

```text theme={null}
Full Page Text and Visual: Check every price on the page is written as 1 234,56 €, including prices shown inside images. Fail the test for any price in another format.
```

## Results

Spur lists every issue it found, and the step's result is handled like a [Verify](/authoring-tests/test-side-peek/step-types/verify) step. To log issues as warnings without failing the test, say so in the instruction, as in the examples above.

If part of a page could not be checked, the step adds a warning saying so, so a clean result always means the whole page was checked.
