# Frequently Asked Questions

> Find answers about authentication, debugging, test runs, deleted tests, and pricing.

### How do you handle auth states?

Check out [Login States](https://docs.spurtest.com/authoring-tests/test-side-peek/login-states.md), which walks you through this. Essentially, Spur saves cookies, local storage, and session storage states from Login Tests. You can load them into relevant tests that require authentication by fetching cookies.

### How can I debug tests?

* Agent Logs: The agent provides a step-by-step analysis for each action it performs
* Full Browser Observability
  * Video Replay: View the entire test run across all tabs
  * Console and Network Logs: Get real-time access to console and network logs
* Bug Analysis: Bugs are also directly surfaced to you by Spur with an explanation.

### How can I edit tests?

Open the test in the test side peek and edit the step instructions directly.

### How do you ensure test reliability?

Spur does not rely on XPaths or Selectors to run tests. Each test run is an AI run—the agent dynamically looks at the page and browses, just like human users do.

Tests only fail if your user story or functionality changes—tests are independent of code changes.

### Can I add any code based actions?

Yes, Spur supports JavaScript injection within tests. Call REST endpoints, APIs, or any other custom functionality you want.

### Do you need access to my codebase?

Spur requires zero access to your codebase — it only tests deployed URLs. Spur runs your tests in a secure cloud environment.

### How do you handle on-premise website testing?

Spur doesn't offer an on-prem solution — all tests run in the cloud. However, if you have any environments hosted internally, behind a firewall, or in a VPN, you can provide a client cert or whitelist Spur's IP to allow access to your application.

### How do you run tests?

Spur runs tests on its deployed cloud instance against the test URL you specify. It works on any deployed URL - including Ephemeral URLs generated in your CI.

### Can I recover a deleted test?

If you delete a test by mistake, [contact the Spur team](https://docs.spurtest.com/additional-resources/contact-us.md) with the test and suite names. The team can check whether recovery is possible.

To pause a test without deleting it, use [Snooze Tests](https://docs.spurtest.com/managing-tests/snooze-tests.md).

### Where can I find pricing?

[Book a demo](https://www.spurtest.com/book-a-demo) to discuss pricing for your team, or [contact Spur](https://docs.spurtest.com/additional-resources/contact-us.md).
